Kelsey Felter’s Resume (PDF)
I began my undergraduate studies as a Speech Language and Hearing Sciences major at Boston University. After spending a year at BU, I learned the importance of health professionals working as a team, especially Speech Language Pathologists with Registered Dietitians. Nutrition and health was always an important part of my personal life. As I learned how nutrition impacted patients suffering from dysphagia in my speech classes, I realized how passionate I was about using nutrition therapeutically to promote health and prevent illness. This growing passion for nutrition helped me to make the decision to transfer to the University of Delaware to continue my studies as a dietetics student. UD gave me the opportunity to study culture’s effect on food and health across the country and world as I travelled to Hawaii, South Africa, and Zuni and Navajo Reservations in New Mexico and Arizona. After finding my passion for nutrition and culture, I graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor’s of Science in Dietetics. Outside of my studies, I enjoy playing cards, going on hikes, traveling, building bonfires with friends, playing with any dog that is available, especially my lab Myla, and enjoying any activity outdoors.
